Forcing a patina on the BK2 with some Garlic/dill pickling solution left over from some pickled asparagus my Spyderco friend's mother made. I will leave it in there for 2 hours and see what happens.

So far it has a greenish tint with some darker tones. I tried touching up the edge before it was completely dried & oiling and some of the patina did rub off close to the spine. I tried emailing a pic from my droid but the server rejected it.

well it should be enough of an acid base to turn but will it be deep/even enough to sustain?

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
