Shown here is my Al Mar Mini Sere folding knife. Made in Japan, the quality on this knife is superb (I come from a time when the name "Japan" was synonymous with "junk"; those days are LONG gone, gone gone). This little knife works wonderfully for EDC tasks...and can double as a reasonable self-protection device quite well. In a fashion similar to many SOG knives, the pocket clip on the Mini Sere is a bayonet style that is very subdued and ultra-low riding. Basic black G10 scales have an ideal amount of texturing; not too aggressive and not to fine. My one objection to Al Mar knives is that they tend to be priced a little higher than they really need to be...however, there is no disputing that they are very well made.
