The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Normally...I don't feel any "draw" to a knife shown in movies. The Tom Brown Jr. Tracker is a fairly famous design due to it's inclusion in the movie "The Hunted". Yes, I have the DVD and have watched it. However, I really didn't care for the Tracker due it's very unorthodox shape. It seemed very impractical to me. Over time...and after some educated dialogue with an iKnifeCollector friend named RicK, my perception of the knife changed and I decided to pick one up. Well...after having this knife in my hands...and getting an up-close-and-personal look at it, I had an ephiphany; my previous perception of the knife was completely wrong. This is an extremely practical outdoors knife. It functions not only as a knife...but as an axe and a saw. This is my first TOPS blade; and I'm very impressed by the quality of this knife. I'm impressed enough that I know that I need to pick up a second one...to use and abuse in my outdoor life. Oh...and for fans of wicked blade grinds, the Tracker just has to ring your bell big time. Blades don't get much more intimidating looking than that.

Thanks for the info Chris, It only took me a year or so to do it. But I have made 2 trackers so far. The first was a High Carbon 1095 Blade with a san mai core. and a wicked looking hamon, The second was finally the one I had wanted to make all along.. A damascus tracker, This one is some of Randy Jr's damascus 1095 and 15n20 combination.. This pic started it all for me.. Thanks Brother!
