Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Some of you may have heard about the flooding in my area, the Okanagan Valley in BC, Canada. While numbers like 343.8 metres and levels rising 1.2 centimetres are being thrown around, here is a visual on how much our lakes have risen this last month or so. These are two different pictures of the same dock in Kamloops BC on Okanagan Lake. Lake access has been shut down on the lakes to prevent boat wakes that are washing out yards and houses. Water contamination warnings near swimming areas. Boil water notices, well over 100k sandbags filled by the community, fish washing into parking lots, docks floating away...yeah. Fun stuff. States of Emergency declared in many towns nearby including here in Vernon. That is a lot of extra water!!
