The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Roger at Knife Works (www.knifeworks.com) does collectors a big favor by collaborating with his knife manufacturers to provide us all with some great Limited Edition models. Shown here is one such knife, the Benchmade Knife Works M390 McHenry & Williams 710.
So...how is this 710 different from Benchmade's black-coated D2 version?
* M390 Super Steel with DLC. The spine of the blade is rounder, whereas the standard 710's spine is flat. Nice-yet-subtle touch!
* Benchmade U.S.A. pocket clip. Oddly, the clip has two rough spots on each edge...like stamp burs that weren't removed. While I like the U.S.A. touch, the burs should have been smoothed. Now, if I smooth them, the clip will loose it's black finish.
Other than those two things, this really is just another incredible take on the amazing 710.
Since this is a limited edition run of 250 knives, each blade has it's own serial number! Good stuff!
