Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

While I am not an M-Tech fan at all, every once in a while they produce a blade I just can't resist having in the collection, and this sub-hilt Bowie is one of them. The overall quality of this knife when received actually surprised me. The accompanying canvas sheath, however, is a huge disappointment. So I upgraded to the leather sheath shown, and I am not a bit sorry!

Spec's:
Blade Style: Fixed Blade Clip point Bowie; Top false edge; Full tang
Blade Type: 440 Stainless Steel
Blade Length: 8 7/8" / 22.5 cm
Handle: Black Pakkawood; brushed stainless steel finger guards
Overall length: 14.75" / 38.4 cm

Yep, I'm with you in my appreciation of leather sheaths, Lars.

Hey thanks for your comments guys.

Steve - this one holds the record for me as being the first and only M-Tech knife to date whereby I did not have to perform some sort of repair just to make it functional; hence why I am not a Fan. The part I don't get is that they also manufacture the Elk Ridge line, and I love those knives! Otherwise, for the money, M-Tech has it going on!

J.J. The leather sheath for this and the Elk Ridge sub-hilt were stand alone purchases. There are several leather workers on Ebay and Etsy I keep my eye on, and sometimes one of them will run a special on some stock that hasn't moved. That's what these were. I'll buy those and hold on to them to upgrade lesser quality sheaths as needed. I dunno...I may have the wrong attitude, but I just don't see how any self respecting knife producer can let a sub-hilt out the door with a nylon sheath. Man...if only they would listen to me. LoL!!!

The leather sheath is definitely an improvement, Lars, was it a stand alone purchase or from another knife alltogather.
