Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Yesterday--6.25.12--this bayonet was given to me by a friend who knows that I collect knives and would appreciate this fantastic piece of military history. This M1 bayonet has a 10" blade and is 14.5" overall. The manufacturer was PAL Blade & Tool Company. My friend's Uncle carried this bayonet in the South Pacific during WWII. Both the bayonet and the fiberglass M7 scabbard bear the flaming "U.S." bomb logo. (As a side note: The weapon that I was issued and qualified with in basic training--circa 1963, Fort Ord, Ca.--was none other than the Caliber .30, M1 Garand Rifle)
