ROFL, reading this has been fun!

They are fully stabilized and this company knows what they are doing in that process.  The only company I know of that can do a cross cut section of a tusk and make it stable.  No project in mind for it just yet, the right one will come along

Ron, these would be used for knife handles. Scales, to be more precise.

I would be scared to try and work with something that old, exotic and possibly unstable. Of course, with my complete lack of experience, I could probably say the same about a slab of pine and be telling the truth, also. D'oh!
