Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This is a nice little gent's folder by Wayne Whittaker. It features a mirror polished 2.75" ATS-34 blade, oosik scales (nicely speckled), and front/rear blued Damascus bolsters Rob Eggerling.

Dennis,

That is indeed an oosik conversation I had never seen before.  Thank you for the info on the liners being anodized TI is as exciting as Ebberling though!

Jan ... no, the liners are not Eggerling Damascus.  They are just file-worked and anodized titanium.  Here is a pic which shows the liners and back spacer (file-worked stainless steel).

Also, shortly after I acquired this knife back in 2013, I ran across this article titled "Congenital Human Baculum Deficiency" on the Internet.  It makes for an interesting read concerning oosik (bacullum).

This probably came from walrus.  Makes for a good story .... after you show it to someone and they "handle" it for a while!!

Just had to look up Oosik as I had never heard of it before  , .....oh well... there you go then !

Thanks ... What attracted me to this one was how well that oosik looked sandwiched between the Eggerling Damascus.  The blade is another story.  Mirror polished blades look fantastic ... for about 5 seconds.  Even rubbing them down to clean off fingerprints seems to generate spider web scratches!
