Tim, 

If you browse my photos you'll see that I use that particular background quite a bit. It's what's left of a very old pepper tree. The tree was hollowed out and over 100 years old before a violent wind event finally brought the curtain down. This stump is all that remains. I love to use it as a background from my knife pics. Thank you for noticing.
