Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The year 1928. 83 years ago! The world was a VERY different place. People had different values and viewed themselves, their country and their neighbors very differently than people do today. There was a sense of pride in this country. Indeed, it was the beginning of an era perhaps best described as "The Great Possible".

The monument shown in this picture was created in 1928, atop the peak of Mount Spokane in Spokane Washington. The organization that created the monument was...The Boy Scouts of America (appears to be Troop 36 that did the work). You can clearly see the BSA symbol...aged and weathered...but enduring year after year with a message to us all; BE PREPARED. I seriously doubt that any members of Troop 36 are still with us, but still...I wish to thank them for erecting this monument to the BSA.

Also, look closely...at the medallion located at the bottom right of the monument you'll see that it says "Modern Woodmen of America". Interesting...
