First i drew the fish on a piece of painter's tape and then I used a small screwdriver to score the wood. Then some enamel paint to highlight the etch. I'm still removing some of the excess flex of paint.

Thanks everyone.  Believe it or not it was harder for me to drill the hole than it was to draw the fish.  Bubinga Wood is very hard.  The drill bit pretty much burned its way through!
