I have pictured this knife before but not with daylight to fire-up the Abalone. This LSV Abalone is a made ina laminating process since Abalone shells of the size and quality to make knife scales are rare. Thus LVS (Laminated Veneering Sheet) a process that makes is possible to get the thinkness and durablity needed for manufacturing possible. GEC manufactures this patern and handle only when the Abalone LSV is availiable. The is #23 of ???? Manufacured in 200.8 #251208 LPB LSV Abalone. I'll have to say it's quite stunning in life. I decided to put up several photos because each shows the Abalone fire in a unique way
