Alright...I am definitely HOOKED on Ontario Knife Company's Ranger series. It started with the RD4...then the RAK...then the RD6. Obviously, I just HAD to have the biggest blade in the series; the RD9. Big? BIG? OUTRAGEOUSLY BIG. Just like it's smaller siblings, the RD9 features 1/4" thick steel...5061 on this version (like the RD6; however, the RD4 is 1095). Great powder coating on the blade to protect it. It came RAZOR SHARP right out of the box; I shaved with it...now that is sharp. Perfectly sculpted linen micarta handle scales. And one of the coolest lanyard rings on any pommel. Nice sheath. Now this is a knife!
