The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
1981. 30 years ago. Ah...I was a lot...LOT...younger then. And the world was a very different place. Er...I digress. The knife shown in this photo is a Queen Cutlery Cuban, 1981 NKCA club knife. This may be kind of old...but it's in great shape. The handle scales are "extra" thick. Though I'm showing the shield side of this knife (because of the blade stamp), the handle scale on the opposite side features a howling coyote engraving done by Philip R. Michael (a custom engraver). The engraving was added after the knife's initial release.
This is one well-made knife. Even after 30 years, the back-spring still has a nice snap and the opening movement is smooth. The handle scales are beautifully done, giving the knife a nice individual appeal.
