You got that right Ron! My brother-in-law and I were knife dealers in the 80's and 90's. We sold the whole line of Schrade. We could kick ourselves for not keeping a crate of Schrades for the future. Hindsight is always 20/20. LOL!

You got a good deal on this one, Brad, considering how scarce they are these days. At least in good condition like yours appears to be. Most folks got these knives and used them for their intended purpose as a good all-around hunting knife. These older Schrade delrin handled knives weren't thought of as "collectors items" back then. Hindsight being 20/20 I think most of us wish we would have stashed a few of these and sold them for 10 times what we paid for them 30 years later. Oh well!

BTW
Ron, thanks for the info, I hadn't researched it yet. I saw it, liked it and had to have it. There were a coup le of BNIB examples for sale on eBay, but they wanted $150+ starting bids.

Ron,

Yeah, the sheath is in excellent condition too. See it in the next photo.

What a great find!

Wow! That Trailblazer is a real sweetheart of a knife, Brad! As I'm sure you know these were only made for a couple of years -- 78 to 80 I believe? Did this one come with a sheath?
