@Jan, actually buying equipment is somewhat harder to find than knives. Buying knives isn't all that tough. There are a few shops not too far from my home. They're more expensive than in the states though.

Buying equipment though that's a definite pain in the backside. There aren't many dedicated toolshops around. Most are just general hardware/DIY chains. And they don't have very good material. For instance it took me a long time to find a source of sanding paper close to home. Ended up finding it in a car specialty shop. The hardwarestores only had stock that went up to 400 grit and couldn't order anything else.

@Stephen, looking back on this one I think you're right and a Lanyard hole would have been in place. I'm using the leftovers of that micarta at the moment on a knife. When it's done I'll be sure to post it.

Alexander,

I am certain that she is pleased and happy.  I know that buying knives in the Netherlands can be a challange.  Do you have the same types of challanges in buying the equipment to build knives?

that is nice knife but i think it should of had a lanyard hole on center back of knife instead of another pin off set.i like the warncliff style blade though and nice micarta scales...good job

The only grinder I had. A $30 one from a local supermarket. The grind is kind of rough. I got a nicer one two months back. Makes for much nicer work. On this one the plunge was cut with a needle file and then I ground out the flat freehand.
