Knife made out of a piece of scrap Suminagashi steel I still had lying around. The layers are from the different layers of steel. Only the core (and cutting edge) layer is hardened.

Thanks Howard. Do Horse shoes have decent steel for knives? This one wasn't forged though. It was stock removal.

Alexander this looks very much like the first knife i forgred out of a horse shoe. (same shape ) yourss much better looking.
