The Spyderco/Ed Schempp Persian model is quite interesting. Available for some time...in a variety of different configurations, it is one of the more unique designs in the Spyderco lineup.
In general terms, the Persian has long been classified as an "upper end" model. The version shown in this photo is the plain G10 version...in essence, the working man's iteration.
For me, the shape is the most appealing thing about the Persian. I really like the flat-ground up-swept blade. The shape makes for an incredibly effect slicing tool. Additionally, I have a serious affinity for VG10...and, in particular, for how Spyderco's Japanese Manufacturing polishes/finishes it.
Enough here...look for my review in the Spyderco Lovers forum under Spyderco Knife Reviews.
