I will finally have time to get more in depth with this sharpener this weekend and the next. I of course will not experiment with my higher end knives until I am confident with my technique.

Well, I will say that it is a nice system. It definitely requires repetition to master the "stroke".

Just to be a bit more specific, I am referring to the Spring that allows for a quick change of stones, and the table magnets, both shown at the lower portion of the page.  Just a couple of handy "enhancements" to consider.
