Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

While there are many very good custom slip-joint knife makers, TA Davison is often cited as being "the best of the best". Indeed, I've had fans of his work tell me, "It doesn't get more perfect than a Davison!" One such friend is a big GEC fan and in our exchanges about slip joint knives, I've continually remarked how impressed I am with GEC's products. Well, my compadre said, "If you think GEC's are great, you really need to see what the next level is. Get a Davison and you'll see a level of refinement beyond even Northfield." The knife shown in this photo is my personal testiment to the factuality of my friend's statement.

Indeed, this knife is "perfect in every way". The refinement is simply unbelievable. One of the obvious differences between a Davison and other slip joints is the lack of rub marks on the blade's tang. Davison mills out his liners to achieve this...preservation of the knife's breathtaking aesthetic. The opening and closing action is far smoother than any other slip joint I've ever used. The fit and finish on this knife is actually indescribeable. You have to hold, use and experience one to know what I mean...

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
