Without a doubt, the model 73 is one of my favorite GEC knives. This version, a Tidioute, features some beautiful Jigged Frontier Bone handle scales. The coloration of the Frontier Bone rings my bell. I really like it. I also like that this version of the 73 comes with bolsters on both ends of the handle. Just looks "classier". Oddly, they've done this on the Tidioute...normally, I'd expect that extra touch on the more expensive and generally "dressier" Northfield UnXld. Regardless, the quality on this particular knife is absolutely STELLAR. Quite literally, I've never seen better in a production knife. The only thing that could have added to it is to add washers at the pivot to avoid the typical scratching of the blade tang that tends to happen on slip joint knives. The only slip joint that I have in my collection that doesn't do that is the custom TA Davison.
