Spyderco's T-Mag is an interesting knife design. In some regards, it's one of the more creative concepts that I've ever seen in the sense that it uses a "Rare Earth" magnet to hold the blade open.

The blade shape is also a bit unusual. It is highly utilitarian, though, really, the lock only warrants light duty EDC tasks at the most. Still, high quality CPM S30V is always a pleasure to use. The handle scales are peel ply carbon fiber...and while not nearly as nice as those of the Sage 2, they are still a joy to use.

The workmanship on the T-Mag is quite good, though my model came with the blade of-center and attempts at adjusting it yielded nothing. Still, the blade deploys flawlessly and the audible confirmation of both opening and closing functions is quite enjoyable.

At the end of the day, the T-Mag (now discontinued) makes for an interesting collectible!

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
