The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Sometimes it is fun to contrast and compare knives. Shown here are two knives that have a ton in common. In the foreground is the Strider SnG medium-sized folder. In the background is the Buck/Strider version. In size, these knives are the same. In fit and finish, the SnG is much more refined; from the tiger striped S30V blade to the flamed titanium lock scale and green G10 front scale. That said, the Buck (now discontinued) is a highly affordable and fairly durable version. Some would ask...seeing the Strider's going price, is it worth 8 times the Buck version? Well, surprisingly yes. The SnG is a nicer knife for a variety of reasons. Still, the Buck version is worth more than it's going price and is a nice value. Next on my Strider wish list is a little something with the Nightmare grind. Look out knife, fans...there's a special something on the horizon!
