LOL... thats what i did was just bond it on their!!!

mike-im not so humble..i love all the little extras with knives... LOL---but i also wont let a little symbol or a serial number decide whether i buy a knife or not. ME-this is part of a much larger debate that has been going on forever! "how do you use or collect kinives"......LOL... IM ADDICTED..THE END!...LOL!

The mark on the blade doesn't bother me, the knife is still the same and works just as good. I'm not worried about a little logo on there. :) As for the Ripple's clip, haven't noticed any problems with mine yet at all. Try using some LocTite on the screws if that problem persists.

first off MIKE I WANT TO SAY THAT I JUST FOUND A VERSION THAT LOOKS LIKE YOURS ON THE BAY!!!CRKT ..in the BLOCK TYPE C ...without the trademark  .. i did ask in the mail that if it is real if they could take a moment to explain when and why the change?.. as taking that MARK off ..just doesnt seem to make much sense...CONFUSED ME right away.. and a few others i set this pic to...

MIKE THE CLIP---what gets me is it always looses up..the 2 screws and all...  its a pain...but no where near somethig to NOT BUY THE KNIFE OVER..  i feel these the ripples and the swindles are both some of the best EDC knives right now....

and again.. i looked and looked and i was glad i found a CRKT SELLER with the one you have! but still shaking head over removing their main marking!??! ya know...

I've heard a few people complain about the clip on the Ripple, I've never had a problem with it, what exactly is it that you don't like about it? Admittedly I don't carry my knife in my pocket, I clip it on to my pants (I wear sweats most of the time since I'm just around the house) so maybe it's' a pocket only issue. <shrug>

HEY HEY..also if you EBAY....lots of SWINDLE FIRST PRODUCTIONS STILL OUT THEIR!! of both versions!!!!

JUST REMEMBER TO WRITE AND ASK FOR FIRST PRODUCTIONS IF YOU WANT THEM... ASK FOR THEM.!!!...this is not something i normally care about with CRKT..but these knives i did.

even without that..it took me 10 minutes or less for 75$shipped!.... also the SWINDLE has been aroud since 2013...deals are a plenty!!...EDC!!!!... i think they were a SHOT SHOW knife!

CRKT will let us know..nothing better then direct info.... JAN!!!!!! -its good to see ya!!!

ALSO MIKE YOUR GONNA LOVE THE GROOVED VERSION!!! THE BLADE CLICKS on CLOSE!.. YES MIKE YOUR DEAD ON- i dont jump on many CRKT knives but as soon as the SWINDLES hit i grabbed a set of them.

LANTZ-i also own a RIPPLE and its great!..it fires just as fast IMO as the others if not faster.is on me now,,,i carry it all the time,,..of course no where near as sleek as SWINDLES OR EROS...but 12$shipped EBAY..not NIB ..well,well worth it. EDC CHAMP!...{clip my only issue}

I thought you would get a kick out of that

Comment by Michael A. Smith on February 9, 2015 at 17:17

You saw it listed as being a Spyderco? Hahahaha, that's good.

Liantz: I don't own an Eros but I do own two Ripples, the smaller inexpensive one and the larger higher quality one and I love them both and would consider them among my favorite small EDC folders. Very smooth, super sharp, elegant and solid. If you're going to go with the better quality one, the big problem is, blue or bronze, they're both sexy. :) The Swindle is a bit smoother, not sure why but it isn't drastic.

I just ordered the other Swindle, it'll be here tomorrow, the rippled handled version with the Sandvik steel. Gotta catch 'em all! :)

Michael,

I am sure you are correct.  They simply "mix it up"  Even just a google search brings up several marked in slightly different manners  Spyderco Swindle

I certainly like this one a great deal!
