To me Jan, it really isn't about production knives or custom knives. First and foremost,I tend to buy what visually appeals to me.  Then I look at quality.  Finally, and equally important, I look at how easy it is to carry ... which is why I tend to gravitate to smaller knives.  Speaking of Boker and smaller knives.  Only have one other Boker .... well, I should say that my wife has the only other Boker in the house.  She wanted a small knife to keep in her purse back in the early 80s.  Even though we were in the land of Boker at the time, we were on a trip to Florence.  She saw this little 82881 in a store window and decided it was the one she wanted.  To this day, it still stays in her purse.

It is always interesting to me Dennis when a non custom catches the eye of a custom collector.  Sort of proves that collecting what you like can keep you happy.  Good choice, I like this one

I've hade this one for a little while and, while picking out a knife for next week's EDC, saw it and realized I hadn't added it to my traditional album!  Here's a pic of the pile side.  Not the best example of the appaloosa bone, but overall, a nice knife.
