Sounds like the company has changed hands according to a review I just read on the Amazon link Steve posted below. The older blue one I have and this black one is evidently from the original manufacturer as they are quality made. Upon closer inspection of the top sheath with the lanyard hole I noticed the blade is a snug fit about half way and gets nice and snug when fully inserted. The knife needs some good pull action to remove it from the sheath. It is not overly tight though.

The fit is tight between the top "sheath" and the knife itself. However it looks like over time it may wear and allow for a looser fit. I have one in blue that I accidentally threw the top away because I did not know what it was for. The blade and top parts were  seaparte in a large lot I bought some years ago and when weeding through it I made that blunder. The metal is fairly thick(2mm's at the back edge) and takes and holds a good edge.I use mine to open packages and quick cutting chores. My black one with top sheath on is .6 ounce or 18gm's in weight. Very light.

Wayne, I had never seen that particular neck knife before. It looks pretty cool, though.

Anybody else like these small neck knives made by Tekna? I find them real handy.
