History of the French Bayonet by Steven N. Jackson.

- Paperback
- Copyright 2017
- 54 pages
- Line drawings, woodcuts, B/W photos

A brief yet broad history of the French bayonet from pole arm to the current FAMAS bayonet (Formerly the M58). A good read for new collectors or those wanting to expand their collections to include French pieces.

An easy read, it has large print and is double-spaced, yet it is a handsome and well laid out book.

The first edition of Steve Jackson's The History of the French Bayonet is an introductory work on the fascinating world of the musket and rifle mounted military knives that were used by the French military from 1650 to the present day.

Some readers have noted that this book is too basic and lacks detail on markings and specific variants, making it more of a picture book for initiates than an in-depth guide for collectors.
