Part scraper part knife. Made from an old nicholson file (I'm told it's 1095 steel) with accompanying pocket sheath. I'll be doing one or two more in this style sometime I think.

@ Charles, the end is double ground. But on a steep angle making it quite a strong edge to scrape and pry with if one wanted.

 

@Wayne, I've seen those breacher bars as well. I don't think they're usually made of files either. To be honest I made this before I saw those and I took my inspiration from the Graham brothers. They make a knife called the Razell with a tip like this. I thought it'd be a very usefull design feature.

Fine looking work! Some folks call this a breacher bar. I have seen some like this for sale but I do not think they are made of old files like this.

is the end chisel ground ?and whats the overall size?
