Okay Tobias, it looks like you're it.  I took a gander at all the "camp knives/utility knives" you posted so here's my question:

Why did everybody(?) do away with the old style can opener "blade" in favor of the new style?

Here's an example of the old style can opener:

Here's the new style can opener:

The old style can opener looks like it would do a better job more easily, although I have never had a knife with the old style can opener.  Anyway, I start off thinking that in the old days form had to serve function, and with pretty much everything being done by hand, I figure the old timers knew the best shape/style of can opener to stick on a folding camp knife.  Does the new style can opener really work better?  Or did manufacturers forget how good the old style was.  Now, I will allow that a P-38 G.I. can opener might work the best, but just wondered why the drastic change in the style of can opener on "camp" knives?  I noticed that the short stroke on the new style can opener makes for pretty slow can opening.
