You got a great deal, Michelle! And, yes, I had been looking at one that has pearl AND abalone! In fact, I found a model made by Moki that would probably fit my hand a little bit better. It is called, "Serapis." Here is a picture that shows 4 different scale combinations on that knife...

Of course I should be quick to add; that, while it might fit my hand a little better, it definitely won't fit my pocketbook as well! These really are pricey little devils, aren't they!

Ron... Yes very nice pouch leather... Feeling niiiiice open and close relaxed smooooooothly.... Of course there is edge. easy out of the box. BUT that very expensive cost me about between $68.00 to $110.00. So I bought it for $40.00. The inlays have varies color white & black, plain white, wood, plain black...

I really like the leather sheath and the lanyard that comes with this knife! 

What are your impressions of this knife, Michelle? Does it feel nice and tight? Does it open and close smoothly? How was the edge? Was it sharp out of the box?

I'm curious because this is actually a rather expensive knife, given its size and all. But you can't put a price on happiness, can you. And, I have a feeling that owning one of these would make me very happy! *grin*
