Yes, she did. 

I want to say a little Flitz and minimal effort got 'er this way, but.....a 3M scotch-brite pad was involved. I wanted to completely remove the Rust and then force a patina on the carbon blades. It was proving to remove too much of the character, so I removed just enough to save the blades. Takes and hold a scary edge fast.
