Ron,

Very nice find!  Robeson has such a long history of excellent knife making that I am not at all surprised that this one is still right and tight

Steve, this well-worn knife is absolutely rock solid. All 3 blades have excellent snap and are razor sharp. The block letters suggest that it was built between 1940 & 1964. The smooth black handle feels like wood to me. In which case it would either be ebony or black cocobolo. However, with the first number being a 1 it could also be a composite material? Like I said, it feels like wood to me. It's a hefty knife and one that I would have no problem tossing into my pocket and depending on any day of the week. This ol' Cattleman still has lots of useful life left in him! It was a good find, indeed! Especially so, considering that I picked it up for $15 in an Ebay auction.

Cheers, my friend!
