Stanley, thank you! I couldn't agree more. The handle on the older of the two, a 1960's production, has some of the most beautifully grained rosewood that I have ever seen. And, unlike the laminated handle belonging to the 1977 model on the right, the handle of the Bowie on the left is made from two solid slabs of rosewood, one on either side.

Handles do not come much prettier that these. Nice knives.
