This looks to be a Western W-49 Bowie.. The larger of the W-49 and W-47.. The W-47 is referred to as the Small Bowie..It was produced in much less quanties than the W-49. The W-49 usually is in the $125-$150 price range while the W-47 is in the $300 to $375 range. Western Cutlery, as I understand, closed their doors in 1990. I have seen the W-49 marked from A to N. A being 1977 and N being 1990. I don't think that the W-47 was ever marked this way. Hope this helps..
