The KaBar I have is a High Grind at 20 degrees on each side for a total of 40 included angle..

But I do take that time to modify my pocket and fixed blades , the factoory does not have the time. Once I am done I have a blade I got from AutoZone and made as good or more ass kicking than the more better brands . But guess what ? The better brands are made in china or taiwan. Even some KaBars..and Leathermans. So I do Modify them to my taste.

The Kabar I have I will leave as it is, It has proven itself since 1942 with its grind. I never mess with whatever my marine brothers say.

No "hog" what I really do is take a store bought knifes and modify them ... That can be some extra jimpimg or taking the coating off from the edge up to the primary bevel or maybe convexing it . I love to convex  fixed blades, but that is just my choice.
