This knife is 85mm's long in the closed position. The scales on this one are completely covered in the "soft touch" neoprene type material making for a nice grip. It wears OK since I have a well used one and it has a few spots where the material has departed from the surface, but it does not peel off. It gets abraded from wear or dings.
