It's in pretty good shape for being 121 years old.  It still shoots and the wood  is still rock solid to the metal.  There is no movement or wiggle whatsoever in either the stock or forearm.

BTW, I paid more for the knife than my dad did for the rifle.  I got the knife NIB off eBay for $16.  Dad paid $5 for the rifle.  Of course that was about 1930 and was nearly a weeks pay for him at the time.  He was making 15 cents an hour working on a road building crew.
