Case made these as a special order for the Bill Boatman & Company through the 70's. There were others not listed in the Parker book but we did these for a few years througout the 70's. I believe that this is legitmate but was a rendition for Bill Boatman. But again, there's just not a lot of information on it here since we only archive back to 1997. The rest is very limited.

Hi Katie...Thanks for the comment on the Boatman knife and for the info but please double check. I think you will find the listing you reference to be a 1974 which would be a 6 dot stamp and the knife I acquired is clearly a 7 dot which is a 1973 stamp. The Boatman knife goes all the way back to the XX era but was never issued in large quantities. I believe the last ones produced were issued in1979.

Hello, This item is listed in the Pocket Knife Trader's Price Guide Vol. 9 on page 122. Records no longer exist for the quantities, etc. but it was in 1973. I think you can reach someone at Parker's Knife Collectors Service located in Chattanooga, TN.

Hope this helps.

NICE LOOKING KNIFE!!!!

Katie

Just added pix of a Case 6265 "Bill Boatman" recently purchased with 7 dots(1973) issue. I welcome any thoughts as my books do not show this knife issued in 1973??????????
