Thanks  :)    It's a nineteenth century one. Yes, it's a bit of dowel I'd used for tensioning .  I had mislaid the proper peg (now found).  When I had problems with my electric jigsaw recently I had to saw out the whole frame and forks for a large slingbow in very hard oak with this one.  It still works as well as it did about 150 years ago but my arms were aching! !

Yeah...I'd find it a bit hard to part with my tools  :)

That certainly is an interesting and old looking jigsaw that you have in the very back. Is that dowel I see tangling down used to adjust the tension on the blade? And, as others have also commented, the handles on your tools look like individual pieces of art. They ARE individual pieces of art!

I'll bet that there's probably no amount of money that could wrestle those tools away from you. Is there?
