Shapleigh Daimond Edge?

"I saw that Shapleigh HDW Co stamp on one of Richard's pocketknives. I'd have to open up a couple hundred knives to find it again though, don't know my knives well enough to locate it any other way."

"Those are some great knives I used to have a Buck 301. It is the only knife I ever lost in my collection. I need to find another one. Thanks for sharing Linda."

"Linda, I did know what you meant.  There was a time I did some research into the companies as I was considering having some iKC marbles made.  I am a history junkie and I did get sidetracked into the history,  If you ever want a good…"

"Hi Linda, yes, Buck & Camillus had a long relationship that went all the way up into the early 2000's, and prior to 1986 ALL of the 300 Series of that time were made by them. Even after '86 Camillus continued to do special factory…"

"I should correct that a little, the BUCK shield on the bone handles were NOT made by Camillus, they just have the same shield. The #303 Cadet w/black delrin likely WAS made by CC, though it has much different blades than the previous versions CC…"

About Me
It's not about me, it's about my husband, Richard, who passed away unexpectedly late this summer. He collected knives for more than 60 years, and I am left with his accumulation and no idea what it is worth or what I should do with any of it. There are roughly 500 or so pocketknives of every vintage and description, maybe 150 or more fixed blade knives, 100+ straight razors, plus cleavers, machetes, a few swords, hatchets, strops, sharpening stones (I've found 50 or more so far), also multi-tools, hand-forged primitives and stuff I don't even know what it is.

I apologize for being a little overwhelmed right now, it's only been about six weeks since my husband died unexpectedly and I'm just starting to understand what I'm facing here. Richard collected. Anything. Everything. He was the guy at the auction who bid a buck on a box full of junk just to get the auctioneer moving along. And he still had every one of those boxes of junk, somewhere. I have only been through the bedroom and 'his' room so far, but I think I've gathered the majority of the… Continue
