Gentlemen's knives by Stefan Schmalhaus .

As I guess a lot of folks will have seen that Stefan brought out a knife book, last year I think . The problem for most of us is that it is only available in German . In this link a fellow knife reviewer MrDagon007 review's the book and presents a selection of the knives. I can say that I have enjoyed the video a lot and of course it is in English !

Ah right. Yeah that doesn't help then. The maker is (I believe) a designer by trade. Personally I quite like his framelock. But the fact that he doesn't make too many of them plus the pricetag have kept me from obtaining one.

I reckon it's a great looking knife Alexander . Unfortunately as I am in the UK the rise in the $ is of no help to me !

The Euro would have to drop an awful long way to get that price nearer to my budget.

The maker does not produce a lot of knives. What he makes is good though. At the moment you might get a better deal because of the more favourable $-€ rates.

Alas although I do like the look of that knife the asking price is a little out of my price range at $475 !!

This is a licture of a FF knife that is mentioned in the book/video that I thought was an excellent design .

In the video , which lasts for 45 mins' MrDagon007 say's that he thinks that the book will be translated into English. Stefan and MrDagon speak about each other so I guess they are acquainted ,so the story about the translation may be genuine .
