Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I received this knife (pictured) many years ago as a gift. Its clearly handmade, but I can't find ANY info about it. The blade is stamped either "Tollefson" or "Tolle & Son". There are no other markings on the blade or the sheath. Can anyone shed some light for me regarding origin or value? Thanks!!

Nice looking knife.  Ever verify who made it?  Do you have the sheath that came with it?  That could be telling as well.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback, fellas. John, I think you are on the right track. I seem to recall something about a connection to MN. I keep hunting for examples of Doug's work to try to get a look at his mark. I'll keep hunting. Thanks, all!

Doug Tollefson

Lost Valley Forge

New London, Minnesota- From what little I found out, his specialty is Damascus, tho--

In the Official Price Guide to Collector knives 15th addition by Houston Price and Mark Zalesky it lists a custom maker on page 95

Tollefson, Barry A 177 Blackfoot Trail Gunnison, CO 81230

I do not know that this is his mark, I have seen no examples
