Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Introducing iKC's Member Spotlight hosted by Luca Vignelli

iKnifeCollector stands out prominently among all web-based knife sites.

From our community's early days it was apparent iKC was unique- unlike anything online knife related. It was noticeably more personal and to some, because all they knew was the posting board knife forum format, iKC was too personal. Those members elected not to become a part of our community at that time too. But, for many reasons, better than two thousand five hundred knife enthusiasts have now said, "Yes, it is different and I like it!"

As founder of iKC, I have been vocal from the beginning about our community's purpose. iKC is the online community of knife collectors. It is not the product or design of some corporate entity trying to earn a dollar; no, it is a knife collector founded and run community and one that rewards us through building closer relationships with like-minded individuals who also share our passion for collecting knives.

Today, I'm announcing a new community feature called Member Spotlight and iKC member Luca Vignelli is the host of the show. I met Luca in our community late December 2010. Immediately, I recognized his ability to fluently communicate in writing.  Most importantly, Luca is passionate about knife collecting, as you will see. He stepped forward and said he'd enjoy talking to our members, conducting interviews and getting to know us even better- all because he wants to.

As way of introduction, I asked Luca to write his own spotlight- not fair, but who better to tell his own story than by his own his hand. We've set up a special area within the community for the member spotlights he will conduct- all for the purpose of getting to know our members and their interests and background more than our My Profile allows.

Please oblige if Luca contacts to spotlight you within our community. We will all benefit. Thank you and thank Luca.

For some, iKC is a breath of fresh air.

I don't know of any other "Knife Groups" that are as friendly and welcoming as is iKC.

!!! .. Too cool .. !!!

It’s always been the “Community” aspect of iKC .. for me anyway .. that kept drawing me back.

There’s such a vast expanse of experience based in the membership here. And the community aspect is evidenced in everybody’s willingness to share these ideas and experiences.

Of course .. it’s the knives that initially kept me coming back .. I’ve seen some knives here I haven’t seen anywhere else .. the accumulated photo collection .. tis a sweet little diversion there !!!

‘n then the people I’ve met. Amazing. When I wanted a “useful” opinion of a MARKOV auto kit .. I was able to contact a friend in Slovenia who could tell me first hand .. what to get & what to avoid. And the part time machinist gentleman in N.H. … a wealth of information !!!

!!! .. This should be some fun .. !!!
