Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi everyone,

Each day, if possible, I will try to post a blog about one of my knives and post pictures and if I can I will also show how it is displayed in my home. I find the displaying of knives very important. I never understood people who buy knives or swords and leave them in a box in a dark closet!! my knives and swords are always displayed in a manner that shows them at their best.
the first piece I will talk about today, is actually a sword. This sword was my first ever and it holds a special place in my collection because of that. it's called the Exotath sword one of the pieces in the Kit Rae Swords of the Ancients collection. Kit Rae has created a whole mythological tale and within this tale he has created knives and swords as well as artwork that comes with most of the pieces. I know not everyone likes fantasy knives, but Kit Rae is a notch above any other in this realm of knifemaking. I won't go through the whole story of the sword of the ancients here, but if you are interested you can go to :

http://www.kitrae.net/fantasy/the_tale_of_the_swords_of_the_.html

there you will be able to read the whole story and see his swords and knives.

the Exotath I have is 1 of 1500 made it's a big sword with a 28 3/4 inch blade and overall length of 44 3/4 inches. it feature a deeply fullered 420J2 stainless steel blade, leather wrapped blade grip, finely detailed cast metal hilt parts with antique finish...it's just a beautiful sword, my pictures don't even come close to giving it justice. one of my favorites, hope you enjoy it and discover a great artist.
