The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Have you ever wondered where the majority of knife collectors are concentraded in? We have collectors in high end fixed blades, high end folders, there's collectors in production fixed blades and folders. There collectors in custom fixed blades and folders with a bit lower price point. I have dicovered theres alot that collect military knives also tactical blades of all sorts of designs. We can't forget about the vintage knife collector while we are deviding them up, ect. ect.. My question is simple, "which population has the most collectors"?

Thanks Billy, good to be back! While I was on my "vision quest", I only saw traditional knives around me.
I love my traditional American made knives. It's great to see the heart and soul of a knife company while holding one of their products in your hand. We are blessed to have as many American made knives as we do.
Well, I used to be into "traditionals" MANY years ago. Then I got into "tacticals" years ago. Then one day I woke up and wondered why my evil twin was buying all of those! I've been back to "traditionals" now for several years. I have my evil twin locked up.
Dale...
Yes I figured this, however there are guide lines for folders and fixed blades on what is a tactical and what is not. The definition I gave for tactical is my own and a guideline for me to use in determining what is a tactical and what is not. For those who really wondered they can read my version and go from there. Thanks Dale....
I think folders of all styles, from brand name to custom. I think you can call them what you like and most people will agree. My Buck 110 has been my edc for hunting, defense, and utility, even camp knife.
I like them all, but I am prone to buy more traditional than I do tactical type knives. I usually have one of each in my pocket.
I like the high end custom's also, I just don't have the funds for them.
@ Clint .... it's kind of a running joke around here ...... "TACTICAL"
i.e. I think the marketing dept's have stretched Webster's definition a bit. Given what all is being marketed as tactical. But then .. who wouldn't prefer a "sports car" over the "family wagon" ???? From the salesman's standpoint .. I'm sure it's effective. For the purist ... ouch !!!
Traditional for me :)
I love those Traditionals too, Brad.
