Knife Collector Population

Have you ever wondered where the majority of knife collectors are concentraded in? We have collectors in high end fixed blades, high end folders, there's collectors in production fixed blades and folders. There collectors in custom fixed blades and folders with a bit lower price point. I have dicovered theres alot that collect military knives also tactical blades of all sorts of designs. We can't forget about the vintage knife collector while we are deviding them up, ect. ect.. My question is simple, "which population has the most collectors"?

Comment by Brad T. on July 30, 2012 at 11:56: The majority of my knives fall into 2 of the aforementioned categories, Tactical and Vintage/Traditional styles. Right now I am heavier on the traditional styles, but I usually carry a tactical.

Tactical means to be highly trained and skillful in planned operations of a combat nature by the military or law enforcement. A tactical knife is a knife designed to be used primarily by the military or law enforcement as a tool for operations or a weapon for DCC (Direct Combat Contact).

I believe polls exist showing "vintage collector's" in the minority .. never was one for a crowd.
