Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

No other hobby transcends so many other hobbies, sports, and occupations like the knife hobby does. It also transcends trades, careers, finances, politics, etc. For example, there might be a banker talking to a ditch digger about knives and enjoying the conversation, where usually they would have nothing in common.

I have multiple hobbies, like many people - Some might play golf and fish or some might like to camp and garden. The only hobby that transcends them all is the knife hobby.

The more I get involved in this cutlery addiction, the more I find that excites, intrigues, and interests me. I would love to hear yall thoughts on this guys and gals.

I am a female bank officer that collects knives.  How many weird looks do you think I get when someone discovers that part of my personality?   I have knife discussions with my clients and know what many of them love to carry.  I know many women collectors and knife makers, its hard to get them to talk about their hobbies from having the same types of reception from other collctors.   I have been on many different forums but on a large portion of them welcoming the new "ladies" was tantemont to wave Hi on your way past her. This is the first knife place I found to call home.  Had I not found IKC, I would not know half of what I do now about a multiple manufatures I had never looked into previously.  I also had no idea that quality customs can be purchased reasonably.  Many of our knife makers on here call themselves hobby makers.  They have fulltime jobs in other industries.  They make for fun and sell at reasonable prices to get materials to make the next few knives.

I heard someone say we were the facebook of knife communities.  I beleive we are a knife community that treats all aspects of our members with respect.  Always willing to give infomation and help when someone needs it.  That to me sounds like a darn fine community to be involved in

This collecting hobby brings us togather, but there's something more than that that keeps us all here.

iKC is a unique venue for us to gather and talk with each other, as Dale indicated, many times on other non-cutlery related topics.

Yuppers .. this passion of mine certainly raises some eyebrows !!! Some wonder if I’m dangerous .. or at the very least ~ rather strange. Very few understand the passion !!!

And then I found iKC .. where we’re all a little strange in a similar way .. cutlery !!!

I’ve managed some acquaintances that have become an enjoyable part of my life. Yes .. their (uncutlery) lives are varied, diverse, & quite different than the un-cutlery portion  of my life .. but we all share that interest in sharp pointy things !!!

Thanks JJ, Scott, Hog, Robert, Jan, Stephan, ………………………., Luca, Gerald, Rick, Max.

!!!!!!!!!   Thanks to you all .. now .. lets have some more fun   !!!!!!!!!
