What are the 5 most common regrets listed by people on their death beds?  These are as listed in the article that I read as reported by nurses that work in end of life care and I thought I would share them with you.  I know that are certain times in my life I have been guilty of numbers 2 and 4.  It is probably something we all should think about and live each day to its fullest.

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier

I spent some time in New Zealand with my Mother just before her death . She said she wished that she had spent more time relaxing and just looking around rather than trying to fill every minute with work . I guess that was how she was brought up though and it's hard to change .

I think what the article was trying to say and I did so poor a job of conveying is that men tend to think that they spent far too much time at work and missed so many things with their kids and family.  Same sentiment you are expressing Steve.
