Thanks Ken. It's easier to ramble when it's true!

Steve, that was very well said, you have a great way with words, and express our sentiments as well.

It is a place we can all go and meet on line for companionship and a mutual sharing of our great hobby, Knives.

One Note: It has helped my Knife Collecting. On another note: I have gained many good friends.

An incredible core of caring, interesting compassionate folk surrounded by others with similar interests  Always willing to help anyone with their questions and problems. More and more of the fringe members are finding this core (family) and embracing it, being welcomed happily into this unique family. Some come, some go, but most have nothing but positive experiences no matter how long they stay. Tireless efforts by Jan, Steve, JJ and Ron keep the place ticking and assure any negativity is handled in-house, and not in public where it could effect others' enjoyment. Few are the places in this anonymous digital age where one can find true acceptance and friendship, and most can't hold a candle to what we, as a whole, have accomplished. The regular members, that take their time and share it with everyone...Charles, John, Tobias, Stanley, Jeremy, Alexander, Terry, Ken, Robert, Gus...so many great folks, too many to list...they all take time from their busy days to jump in with some advice, cheer, their own questions, and most of all, their friendship. The dealers, retailers and owners of various knife companies that come it to share their latest news, answer yet more questions and take their own time to come and fill us in on what's new. None of them have contractual agreements that say they have to come here, yet most recognise the uniqueness and closeness of this community that we constantly try to better. Even the jump-ins that pop in to ask a question then leave, never to be seen again, have their place...we all learn something new from the research done and posted. And then, it's the people that haven't joined yet...that we will meet down the road. The folk that will have their interest in knives kindled by what they read here, or by the closeness of our community. It's the work our staff and members to better the knife community as a whole. It's iKC's involvement in the National Knife Museum, Knife Rights and a handful of other positive organisations. It's...it's...it's...

Heck...what is iKnifecollector?? I have no idea if you can cram all that into a word or phrase, but I know I am a better person for finding it, I know I have helped others here and found joy in that. I know I have shared both joy and sorrow here with our members, and I know I have seen this community rally behind causes and people to push for a change for the better. I know I am proud as hell to be here, and to call many of you Friends. Real friends, not anonymous Facebook-type "friends"...I am honoured to be accepted into this fantastic bastion of awesomeness in the confusion and the chaos that can be the knife world.

So as inadequate as it sounds...iKC is uniqueness manifested. And I wouldn't change it for all the tea (or blades) in China. Kudos to you all for making this place what it is. EVERYONE makes a difference, and contributes. Be proud, iKC'ers! We have all created something wondrous. Keep up the good work!

IKC is like the perfect family. Courteous and complimentary at times- Sometimes, some jokes and good natured ribbing- sometimes an understanding, caring ear when times are tough-Never an insult or disparaging word-Welcome advice and encouragement freely given-Friendship and genuine interest in each others lives always on tap- Oh yeah, we all happen to share the same passion for knives !!

It's more than that, Robert.
The members are more like family, and iKC is my home on the internet.
